    does anyone know if u can edit a imported file in flash?

    images no. vector graphics yes. Just keep cliking on it.

    images: you can break them apart (ctrl + b) and remove parts of it, if thats of any interest.
    In some cases thats a lot better than removing the background in an image editor, the egdes gets a lot smoother.
