uh... so anyways for those who remember that I'm using my pc to design with while i wait for the adapter to come in for my ibook.. i was wonderin if i could get a little help..

see i can't get the sound card to work.. normally it's something i could fix myself.. but everytime i try to load the driver i downloaded it bombs my pc. i was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get the driver or could help..

i'm running winnt 4.0 and the sound card is a golden something or other.. the card is an ess-solo 1938

You should go into your hardware profiles and see how many sound cards are listed as being part of the pc. If there is any in there you can delete the ones with an x through it.

dude, does the ESS chipset even work under WinNT?

windrivers.com - search for ESS 9368, or whatever the chipset is... should find WinNT drivers... I forget what the exact chipset is, but it's rather common... good luck mang.
