swf not showing up
I have a flash banner that is about 42 kb. It seems that it is too large to load, maybe I'm wrong. It has only worked on the my computer. I checked all the sources, they're good to go.
The .fla is attached, and the contents of the page can be found at http://free.hostultra.com/~FaithOmit.../filename.html . I have tried making a simple preloader, but that didn't work either. Can someone help me make this .swf viewable?

Unexpected file format! Can't open your .fla.
You'd have a better chance of getting an answer if your .fla was in a MX only format.
You would have to save a copy of your MX2004 .fla, (using Save as...) and changing the Document type to MX only in the Save as... window.

Well, did you only upload the html page and no swf, if so you need the swf on there too
no I uploaded the swf, and embedded it into the html page, so everything's there...and for oldnewbie, I re-published it in flash 6.

No you didn't... Or you're on Mac, and .fla as to be zipped up so PC users can open it.
Oh! And just checked the source on your link, and you don't have an object tag, only an embed tag... That might be the problem! You need both!
haha...I published it in flash 6, but forgot to save it in mx...sorry about that. This should work.

Well I'd check that missing object tag bit!

Well I created this page primarily using GoLive, so it wasn't that. Just to make sure, I went back using the <object> tag. It still doesn't work.

this is the code you need to embed your SWF file
<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
WIDTH="880" HEIGHT="600" id="stage" ALIGN="">
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="YOUR.swf">
<PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high>
<PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#333333>
<EMBED src="YOUR.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#333333 WIDTH="880" HEIGHT="600" NAME="" ALIGN=""
TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</EMBED>
</OBJECT>
If someone tells you it can't be done,
it's probally because they don't know how.

What are you talking about? I see that banner on the link you have in your first post.
Well God certainly took a steaming **** on my face cause it works on one instance of the page but not another...I think I have what I need, I'll continue tinkering. Thank you.
