    pscs autoresolve feature

ok, i know this isn't a photoshop tech forum... but i know there are some major experts in here that can answer or point me in the right direction.

when i copy pics over using the filebrowser i often get the 'an older item named... already exists in this location'... so i click auto-resolve and apply to all...

it seems to do the job just fine... i love that feature and use it all the time before i reformat my card... is there any danger in using it and copying over pics or is it failsafe?

i guess it probably uses the xif data to determine when the pic was taken... any other thoughts on how it works?

not much info provided in the help docs.
