OOP is one letter from OOPS
I like the idea and could see myself spending some time there. Classes and OOP apply to the creation of Components in AS 2.0 and with a little bit of planning and using the linkage attribute for library items to specify classes for movie clips, you can really make some nifty little clips.
Also, from what I have seen on the board here, a lot of our members don't do just flash programming. OOP can be applied to a variety of languages I have used ASP, PHP, and even JavaScript classes. All of which have uses related to Flash.
Additionally, with ExternalInterface you can actually get flash to communicate with many of the .NET languages (I am playing with C#). So call backs and event handlers become important when doing this.
I can see a whole bunch of uses for a dedicated forum or topic for OOP.
