    Exclamation Help with simple animation!

    Hello,

Ok i am creating a project where i need to draw graphics over the top of an avi/movie in flash, i will need to preview the movie to allow me to find out where to exactly position the graphics and animations.

It is proving impossible in flash, i've tried several options that havn't been successful:

-importing the avi file into flash (could not preview in edit mode to see where to add the graphics!)

-export the movie with quicktime to individual frames (this loses the quality of the movie and isn't a smooth workflow, also the audio was impossible to sync when exporting separately!)

The final piece needs to be embedded in a flash movie, but it doesn't matter how it was created, didn't know if there were any other more appropriate programs by adobe?!

    Hope you can help!

    Thanks

Not sure I completely understand what you are trying to achieve. If you are trying to sync pieces of flash animation with a flash video then you can use cuepoints on certain frames within the video to trigger your animation.

It sounds more like you want to overlay graphics within the video file before creating a flash video in which case I would recommend you use something like After Effects where you can scrub through the video footage and then layer additional text and graphics over where you want it.

Yeah it it's basically overlaying graphics onto a video, the final result needs to be an SWF file, i guess that is possible an export through adobe after effects.
