    Beer

So what are you all drinking these days? What is your go-to beer of choice?

oooh Stella. That was my go-to cheap beer of choice while in London. Not too bad actually.

Lately I have been craving nice micro brews from local places. Can never go wrong with a Long Trail.

    I'm usually not picky.

But, the last beer that raised an eyebrow was Hammerhead Pale Ale at McMenamins, from a nitro tap. Wow.

I've been to a few of the McMenamins Pubs in Portland - great places. Portland is truly the KING of microbreweries in the US. I know everyone has their local fave, and I do too, but the entire city of Portland is just loaded with microbreweries. People walk to their local pub and fill up their jug to bring home...coolest thing ever.

Yeah can't go wrong if you find a place/brew you like to invest in a growler

Finally, there was Joe Biden, who joined the gathering by drinking a non-alcoholic beer. This, too, was a poor choice. For though the purpose of this article was to point out that imbibing sends the wrong message to our children, come to think of it, so does drinking like a p***y.

I'm on a local microbrew kick as well. Favoring stuff from Three Floyds at the moment ... anything dark. Also found a liking to IPAs recently. Always thought them to be way to bitter for my taste, but for whatever reason I've really been enjoying them lately. Be up for some recommendations there.

IPA is just one of those beers that no matter who brews them I can't get into them. At the Long Trail they actually make a Double Bag IPA which I can only assume is made with hops and sulfuric acid.

Also the wine, fresh produce, trees, etc. We're spoiled.

Let me know next time you're in town and we can grab a beer somewhere. The Rock Creek Tavern McMenamins is my favorite because I've been going there since before they bought it and it was just a random biker bar in the woods.

That was the reason we actually went. The beer (and Voodoo Donuts) was a pleasant surprise. Not sure when we'll be back, but I'll be sure to let you know.

    I HATE BEER

    *Ducks for cover*

but I honestly enjoyed ONE beer in my life, was REALLY good, in Edinburgh in a Pub and it was Draft so don't ask me, but I'm tempted to fly over there next month just to ask and buy a keg or two of it

And Stella I use it to wash my hands after fixing my car's engine or eating fish with my fingers
