    If Dio were alive he'd explain that they are not nor ever were horns.

    I'll assume you meant to say that they weren't devil horns (which I didn't mention.) They are, in fact, horns. Corna, in italian, even means horns. We'll chalk this up to a new parent being in a tired, hallucinatory state.
