Hey Rumble...
Must have missed that... this seems like a different and interesting approach for a flash engine to adopt, I see most of the flash engines adhering to perhaps a scenegraph approach coupled with a bsp, kd-tree and/or an octree. I see that you're using a physics approach... I guess the uniform grid would force a game tailored to this engine in many senses and I get the impression that for this reason this would be a good engine for a limited selection of games. Good luck though, looking forward to seeing your game
