The single greatest resource for learning ASP and Flash can be found at http://www.asptoday.com/articles/19991001.htm
Using the above resource, I've been able to create a database that Flash can read from, search, write to, etc...
It takes a little experimentation and a lot of caffeine, but it can be done. The results are amazing.

Try not to laugh out loud; the purpose was to see if the variable exchange was working, not to do anything terribly artistic.
The author of the aforementioned tutorial (Dan Smith) has been a big help in my endeavors and will reply if asked for assistance.
