I'm not necessarily a newbie, but I'm working on an interactive CD and have encountered something I never thought to do before.

I want one of my buttons to activate a .pdf file, and another to execute an .exe file in Windows (hqx in Mac).

I'm looking for some action to make that happen, but all it will let me choose is "get URL." Is there another action I can use to link it to a file so that someone could either click or right click to get the file?

    Thanks for not laughing...

You had the right idea in the first place!!

Just type the name of the .pdf file in the get url window. This will open the pdf in a browser. Not so sure about the .exe give it a go.

    Cheers.
