Tracking system question?
Guys I just want to know if is a way for macromedia or other company to track in wich particular application a file is made, base on the serial number.
Example if I created a file in my Flash 5 at home and I put it on the net, is there a way for Macromedia or other company to know in wich Flash 5 the file was done?
Example if it was done on the Flash 5 that I bought for my self, if it was done on the one that the guy down the street bought or the one that a company own, base on serial number or other type of tracking system inside the fie.
I just want to know this because of a conversation we are having at work where a guy is saying that they have the way to know it, and I just don't think it is possible at all.
Thanks
Alex

I don't think so, think about how many trial versions are around and how many people are using these legitimately to put content up.
Macromedia probably wouldn't be too interested anyway, unless you were producing sites commercially on a large scale, in which case you'd have a bonafide version of flash
