can anyone tell me some specifics on the loadmovie action?

i would like to know if the timeline of my level 0 movie stops when my level 1 movie is loaded and if not, how to stop it while my level 1 movie plays. I would like too unload the level 1 movie at its conclusion and start the timeline of my level 0 movie at the frame that it was stopped at.

If the above is not enough information, i hope this is:

I am attempting to make an intro that i would like to stop at a frame that has a list of my movies.
example:
scene 1: survivor
scene 2: peace

once my audience gets the preview of what scene is next i would like to load the appropriate movie(scene), play it, unload it and go back to the level 0 timeline. then play the next few frames on the level 0 timeline and then play the next movie. etc.
