[RESOLVED] Crazy Button Rollover
Hey honkys
I had a problem where I created a button and it worked inside of flash with no problem, but when i previewed, it wasn't there. I guess the mistake was I left out the "hit" state and the button wasn't being recognized. I used the "up" state and keyframed it in the "hit" state to solve that problem.
New problem: the button is CRAZY, it just keeps rolling over at an incredible rate of speed, just a FAST loop. How do I cool its jets??
Thanks,
Dean

Hey Dean,
What you are probably doing is inserting a MC right? In that case you need to have a stop action at the end of that movie clip an place that in the over state of the button so it does not play when the .swf is loaded!
I am not sure if this is the right solution but I would imagine that this is it! If not, then I hope some one else will be able to help you!!
Good luck mate!!
Cheers,
Nik

Nik,
In symbol edit mode how would I be able to tell whether or not it's an MC?
The current structure of my button is 3 layers. White text to represent the "up" state. Orange text for "over" and red text for "down" with the "hit" state using the keyframe from the "up" state.
It won't let me apply a "stop" action to the hit frame either.
Whatcha think??
Dean
