    Check this site out:
    http://www.triomni.com/forwardkw.asp

I changed the link so you can click on it.

This site was created by one of my colleagues. This site uses Swift 3D and Swift generator. Let me know what you think.

Well, I liked it. It will be interesting to see how the site performs in terms of generating orders.

Yes I do know what ecommerce means. But this is what the client wanted and we went back and forth about it. The funcitionality is not the best because we where so limited on budget and what the client wanted. We had to sacrifice some functionality for the look of the site.

You can go through the house and pickout items and then purchase them. If you don't want to use the flash portion of the site you don't have too. This is a very very basic ecommerce site.

Like I said this site is by one of my colleagues, this is also his first flash site. This site was also very low budget and limited him to using swift generator instead of Macromedia generator which would of let him have creat the dynamic data with greater ease.

The reason I am showing you the site is because of its 3D house.

This is not the site review section, so let's focus on the 3D visuals in the presentation. Perhaps jbmarbutt can provide some comments on how the house was created?

    Thanks!

The 3D aspects of the house where all created with Swift 3d. As seeing that the software is not ideally created for this type of production that is why I wanted to show it. It pushed the capabilities of Swift 3D to it's limits.

We used the house as an experiment to test the software and to achieve what the customer wanted. There are very few movies in the actual animation that make up the house. Which include the fly in and the movies for navigation.

So, did you do both modeling and rendering in Swift, or import any .3DS models?

    Thanks!

No all the modeling and rendering was done in Swift 3D. We wanted to see what swift 3d could do. The house was created completely in Swift 3d.

That's pretty impressive... altho, it's REALLY hard to navigate... if I move my mouse over the nav bar it moves so fast that I zoom in at a rediculous rate...

And you were right about the navigation... confusing.

I Love It! Navigation is a little confusing until you're in the room, but I dig the whole thing

    nice!

hey, I really like it. only prob though... slow down the navigation... I walked in and out before I know what happened...

ok, this gives me hope that I can do something with Swift3D; hopefully half as cool as this.

    good job!

Considering you did all the modelling in swift, the site is cooking. A lot of work. OK there are a few things, like why include a frame number? But think the site represents the products well.

I needed a frame reference to test the site. When you click on an object and change pages, it goes back to the same frame. In addition, it will turn different directions according to the frame number. 1-18 turns right 19-36 turns left. I just left the frame reference there to show that it returns to the same frame.

Excellent design idea, thats what technology is all about, pushing the known limits to create something unique that you can be proud of. And kudos to the moderator for putting down a nay-sayer.

I appreciate all the complements on the site. Hopefully on my next project I can blow this one away.
