you're looking forward to getting punched in the mouth?

It's good to hear that players are willing to be taken out of their comfort zones for the greater benifit though.

one thing i'd like to add everyone... transitions are rarely easy in this game. you may just end up trying to continue from a cloud filter, noisy textures, weird gradients... these things are invitable. the easy way out is to simply put a stop to it with a sudden change (an image overlap, a big overlapping shape, etc), but FKer's are not known for giving up on a challenge now are they?

If you get a difficult transition, embrace it! the best volleys in this game have *always* been the ones involved in a long, seemingly uninterupted series of images with well made and subtle transitions. myself, i am much more impressed with a well transitioned image than one with sudden stops on both sides.

and just like Gen was saying, if you get left to continue an image that isn't in your style, don't try and change it to your style, because rollcanvas always changes style by itself (similar to a game of 'chinese whispers')

insted, try and stick to the style for as long possible (within practical reason), and play with the style you've been given. chances are that you'll not only get some broadened photoshop experience, but you might just suprise yourself!

I think everybody should use PNG-24 and send that to EVP. Bigger filesize but he can crunch it down to an uniform jpg using his monitor/RGB settings.

Yo', what's um man? Long time no see... Glad you made it around again. If you think going last was hard wait until round two...matching 3 sides...

I am still waiting to hear back from some people and then we can start this. Looks like middle of this week we can start.

So, pea3698 are you requesting first go then...?

Its not a competition. This is a battle where everyone should just bring their best stuff and make an amazing piece of art.

Is each person doing 2 volleys then; one for each row? If so, I think the order should be different for each row so you dont have to follow the same person twice

Hey E, will we get to see the first row before the second? or are we just going to show a strip at the bottom and right?

PNG-24 format is fine with me as long as you do not use the "Save for Web" feature in PS as it will lighten your image and it will not match the leave.

USE THIS METHOD TO SAVE YOUR IMAGES:
    - File >> Save As...
    - Select "PNG" in the Format drop-down menu.
    - Name your image and hit "Save" or "OK".
    - Select "None" on the PNG Options Palette and hit "OK"

Pea, the first row will be revealed once it is complete, and then we will move onto the second row.

I am still waiting to hear back from a few "personal invites", but I am thinking that I will get this Officially Started on Thursday morning. Pea, if you would like to get started on the first drop I say go for it. It would be really nice to have a drop on opening day. I normally don't spend much time on here during the weekends, but I will be keeping an eye on my E-mail as well as this (and the Submissions) thread during this event via my phone. No point in slowing this down on my account.

My messenger is always on, and I have reactivated the voice server, so if you have ANY questions feel free to contact me at your discretion.

I will announce the order on Thursday morning. Only pea3698 knows where he is in the grand order of RCIV...

    Good Luck, and Happy Hunting!

I will try my hardest to get something done by opening day, but I can't promise. I meant I could start Thurs. I have to get my portfolio together tonight and I have an interview tomorrow night with a local school. But don't scratch me I have an idea and I will get to it as fast as possible.

I really want to do this again this year though, so don't worry about the commitment.
