I should confess that one of the humming bird shots is quite heavily photoshopped. Can you tell which one though?

The middle one has had it's wing and right half of the picture reconstructed by duplicating the wing and background from the left hand side, due to an object in the foreground obsuring half of the wing.

I don't have access to the original unfortunately as it's back in england.

Greetings. New member here. Great photo's BTW. Could I suggest using a polorizing filter (perhaps you did, could be this crap monitor, but the colours in the landscapes seem a little flat) please don't take that as criticism as I think they are all really good. Love the macro work. Keep up the good work.
PS. I'm now into my 12th gap year, nobody told me you could have only 1.

    Nice pictures Chris.

Question though, if you're going to be going to University, where did you find the cash to travel like that. Must have cost a pretty penny for sure. What program were you applying for that you couldn't get into?

    Thanks everyone.

You mean, shouldn't I be saving my money for University? Probably but I'd much rather travel around now and jsut stick it all on my student loan. I had been working for the first half of my gap year and I earnt a tidy sum, actually enough to pay for all the trips to Costa Rica and Japan/Australia/New Zeland. And I will also be earning in Australia when I stay there. And actually for Costa Rica I was with my parents so they paid for food and things like that I just gave them the money for plane tickets and accommodation.

I wanted to do medicine But I just get too nervous at interviews I think, so I am doing biology. At this stage I still plan to switch over to doing medicine after I do the biology degree, because it's still what I want to be. But maybe I'll love the biology course so much, or decide to do something else. Who knows. I'm sure I'll enjoy myself whatever.

Sounds good Chris. It would have been nice to go on some trips after high school. Oh well though. Good luck with the medicine though man, its a good path.

Wish you all the best with your course C.

Man I'm really jelous. I would love to go on holidays like that but the money doesn't come my way so easily. Plus I keep spending it on beer so that doesn't help.

Keep up the photography, you could make a few quid from the stock agencies. Get yourself a copy of "The Freelance Photographers Market Handbook"
Available in all good bookshops!! <-Cheesy quote there for ya.
