critique wedding site for a friend

click me...

Doing for a friend's wedding... I don't have the actual link's content done as of yet (that's quick and simple). What I need are opinions about the look/feel/sound of the page.

The final product will have a Flash 5 check and it'll be the same pop-up window from a better looking (when I have more time) splash page. Oh yes, do you recommend it popup the window without having to click "launch" (or whatever the link will say) on the splash page?

Oh yes, about the colors... lavender is the color of the bridesmaid's dresses. I tried!

Thanx fellas.

hey i think you should change your choice of typeface to something more elegant and formal. check these fonts out if you can:

snell roundhand
kunstler script
copperplate gothic - used as small copy (not bold)

also im not so sure about the cartoon kind of theme for a wedding, im picturing nice clear photographs of wine glasses, flowers, etc. with a "light" color theme. the lavender you used is pretty nice

id really like to see an actual invitation graphic on the welcome page. instead of just text on a flat background. you can take a photo of a blank invitation and write the text on the computer so its readable

keep it up though, very nice
congrats

alright guys... I'm having trouble deciding on what background music to use... so I've got 2 choices at this moment... can u launch each separately and tell me which song you like better?

Song 1 is a classical sound that's much less somber than Song 2. But Song 2 is very subtle, which was the sound I was going for. Though some have said it sounds more like a funeral song.

Opinions?

Thx.

I dont like the menu rollovers i think the bars on each side they dont match maybe just highlight the text

Keep it up

of all those 3 fonts i only have copperplate gothic and it's the bold one and i don't think gothic style would suit wedding theme...

if rh71 use one of those fonts he/she will have to embed the font which will enlarge the SWF significantly otherwise people who doesn't have the font will just see something like Times... it's up to u but i don't recommend that course of action rh71

about the music, if u have to choose between those 2, pick the 1st one... the second one is weird...

and the cartoon gives the page a HALLMARK feel... i like it hehehe

Ok, putting on the finishing touches, minus the initial page splash (enter site) page... the music is pretty much set and so is the rest of the framework.

More opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thx much.
