request for site assist

I'm told this is THE place to plea for assistance in launching and then further developing a website. I'm a writer...NOT a developer of code. I have most of the code for an initial launch that was based on FLASH, but it isn't working and there are still developmental enhancements needed. BUT, first things first, I need to get the site working...that is launched!!! I have the domain name established, the host working, nameservers established, code tranferred, etc...BUT, it isn't WORKING and there is still a ways to go. This is the dream, to build a site where artists, photographers, and writers can share and display their wareswhile also providing a "coffee shop/gallery " environment for those without such locally where folks can share, buy nice coffees and teas, etc and socialize. This will be kind of a virtual stopping off point just as in a nicer fine gallery. That all comes a tad later. For now, I just want to have the gallery portion completed where folks can see "framed" art thumbnails, enlarge it to page size, etc.. However, the place needs class...lots of class. Also, it needs the touch of someone who can exercise some creativity. Mostly for now though, it just needs to work. Will gladly work out payment or trade for a little help
