Scrolling MCs

Hey. Kay, here's the deal:

I'm making a little something that people can use on an animating forum I go to. The idea is that you place your "awards" won in competitions all in this Flash, and they will all scroll. They can then put it in their sig.

Before I confuse you anymore, download the FLA I attached (Flash MX 2004 or better needed).

Now as you can see when you test the movie, putting your mouse to the sides will make the awards scroll...but notice that the gaps between the MCs change, while they should all be the same. The coding makes 100 % complete sense to me, and because of the for loops, works the same for all the MCs, yet it still ends up having different effects on certain ones.

I've noticed that the depth of gaps will vary depending on where your mouse is when you test it. So if you start your mouse right at the center, it doesn't look as messed up. But more to the side, there are bigger gaps everwhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
