Rooves of Leichardt, Sydney (Black and White)

EDIT: I have posted new copies of the photos, the original of the first and the original of the second

There are some ornate buildings along Norton St and the clouds gave the perfect backdrop.

100mm
1/750s
f4.5
ISO 200

Photoshop:
Channel mixer for desaturation
Levels, shadow/highlight, brightness/contrast

100mm
1/350s
f4.5
ISO 200

Photoshop as above

I also really like this shot - the removal of the noise (in Neat Image) and then conversion to BW gave a really nice old feel to it. 153mm 1/350s f4.5 ISO 3200

Thanks. I use a Pentax *ist DS and these were with a Sigma 100-300 DC/DL (I forget and it's not with me) lens.

These are lovely, I dont know anything about photography, but the first one looks a little flat to me.
Very nice though!

They could use a little more contrast in the clouds for a real dramatic effect

I'm starting to get really annoyed with the calibration on my laptop monitor, it turns out really well on it but not on other monitors. I've done some burning of the clouds so will repost them soon.

EDIT: Robb I've put up the new copies of the shots; I had to selectively change the contrast on the clouds to keep the buildings looking how I wanted
