Require Experienced Agency to Develop our System usd$25k +

But really wanted to get to all the high-end agencies on this board, and did nt think id find them in the Freelance section

SO hear goes....

hi !

I am looking for a medium to large agency to tackle one of our company's current system requirements.

Our Background:

In a nutshell we are an Independant Project Delivery Agency, servicing South African and Hong Kong Government Departments and Agencies as core clients. We take on government functions and Project Manage it throughout its lifespan.

Our Current project involves us being a Total Solution for the Procurement and delivery of Stationery and other requirements to all Schools within Southern Africa. As you can imagine there are alot of schools !!!!

Personally, I am the entire IT department, from techie through to senior developer, and effectively am incapacitated when it comes to developing a system capable of aiding this Project in going forward.

We have allocated a rather handsome budget to the successful implementation of Systems that will automate our operations, but unfortunately I have been unable to secure a capable and dependable I.T. Firm to engage in this Project. Being a Flash-head and knowing the likes of 2Advanced, Flashlevel and the likes i decided to contact them in hopes of securing at least a brief discussion or some form of communication on whether or not theyd like to take our project on, i didnt receive so much as a NO let alone a reply. sad to say the least.... Might be great Designers, but when it comes to Customer Relations, ummn...bit dodgy

Now id like to appeal to these same people and other experienced agencies, to take a look at what we have to offer, and what we require, and whether or not they can meet our extremely tight deadlines.

Our budget is somewhat flexible to say the least. Estimated budget is sitting at, but is subject to change: (usd$25k for initial ordering & reporting system, and up to usd$200k for a full-blown ERP solution.).

The entire system has been mapped out and specifications drawn-up. All we need is the actual Development & Implementation of this system.

We are based in SOuth Africa, although all Development may be done from your Country of residence, with myself or one of us flying to you meeting every so once in a while to assess progress, and yourselves having to come down at time of implementation (2 weeks max, flights, travel payed for).

I am quite comfortable with either Flash/MDM/SQL 2k5 or alternatively VB.NET as technologies for this project.

We require an initial ordering system by no later than 15 June, other requirements by middle july, august, and full ERP by september.

Now id like to emphasize, before i get a 1000 emails in the inbox, that I will not be replying to small agencies or individuals wishing to make a quick buck. I am only interested in the cream of the crop, unfortunately, but might post more work at a later stage for the smaller guys...

My requirements would be a brief list of Projects you have managed / developed as well as 1 or more case studies of these projects. A list of Clientele, and why you think your agency would be best suited for the task at hand. ALSO and most importantly please dont contact me if you cant meet the above deadlines.

For all candidates i select, I will be replying with a Systems Specification and Project Plan, including Timelines, etc.

Hi Loomy,

I have sent your details on to an agency based in the UK who I used to work for. They are the mutts nuts at customer care, and I can definately appreciate where you're coming from on the 2Advanced, Flashlevel side of things, as I used to work for Lightmaker, and have first hand experience

The firm i used to work for also have a heavy programmer on board who used to live in South Africa

Also, using a company in the UK also means you're more or less on the same timezone i think.
