Is it just me or is static text more blurry than dynamic text?

I've noticed that static text seems to not be as clear as dynamic text, has anyone else noticed this? My developmental display is an LCD monitor set to 1024*768 and all static text seems slightly blurry. I switch to dynamic text and fill the box via AS and the text looks way better. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using Flash8. I rarely use static text anyway since I prefer to do everything in AS, but its useful for button text and small jobs like that. However, the static text turns out blurry while the dynamic text looks great.

My aliasing settings are identical for both. To test, I created a static text box typed in some text then converted it to dynamic. The diff was like night and day. All of my font is Arial, I tried Times New Roman and it was even worse.

try viewing your text with a 800x600 montior and you can hardly even read the text. I am having this problem as well because unfortunetely I have to think of the people who still have their monitors set to that resolution.

I know what you mean, I am developing the site for 800*600 and I've got detailed instructions for how to change the resolution to 1024*768 but the users don't have a clue.
