site check on a history tool project

Hi,

I would greatly appreciate it, if you could do some testing on this application and tell me about the overall look and feel and handling of the program.
It is supposed to be a tool for history school projects. You can write articles and upload pictures about historic relevant topics. The data generates timelines, so that each article has its own timeline. Those timelines are supposed to be the main navigation, provide an overview over the content and encourage the user to browse.
If you have any suggestions or ideas how to improve this tool, please tell me, as I am still in the process of development.
