Wierd things you saw as a kid.

I'm sure i'm not alone in this, but when i was very young, maybe between 3-7 I saw s**t loads of wierd crap that even today i cannot explain.

1. Driving through Austria on a coach returning from a sking holiday, i took a look out of the window onto a massive very remote lake &, i swear, saw what looked like a perfect viking ship in miniture with perfect people in miniture on it there was no one & no towns around for miles?

2.I would very often hear the sounds of crockery smashing downstairs late at night, when i new the whole family was in bed - in the morning - nothing!

3 I layed terrified in my sisters room on night as this figure some 7 ft tall stood close to a bay window in the room - glaring at me. Writing this i can still fell & hear the way my heart pounded in my chest.

All p*ss taking & general irrelevant post expected & encouraged! - but at least i have got that of my chest.

hah! this reminds me of a friend of mine that was not only convinced himself that an alien was following his life and occasionally appearing at odd times (while camping, etc.) but he had a number of others convinced that they witnessed it too. of course, it was his girlfriend and a couple cousins. but, they would sit there and corroborate the whole thing.

i should bring that up with him now.

Um.
1: One morning after my "father" had already left for work, my mother, sister and I all heared what sounded like the kitchen door slam and then the sound of someone rifling through the kitchen cubbords followed by crashes from plates ect, being thrown around and broken.
Just after that, the kitchen door slammed again and heavy footstepps walked past my bedroom (outside) as well as my sisters'.
On inspection, the kitchen door was locked, and nothing had been disturbed.
All 3 of us heared this, and we all poked our heads out of our respective doors at pretty much the same time to investigate. (Parents were going through divorce at the time, so we all thought it was my father who had come home pissed off)

2: I was doing a tarrot reading for a friend, and there was something about his dad (deceased) in the cards, as I started talking about this a candle on the opposite side of the room looked like it was picked up out of the holder it was in and dropped.
That was kinda freaky, it wasnt near any windows or open doors and there were no pets or anything like that in the house which could have disturbed it.

Other than that... Not much.

I used to see "shadow animals" out of the corner of my eye allot when i was a kid, but the really weird thing is if i saw them at my great grandparents house they were always dark pink with green edges.

When i was three or four i woke from a nap to see toothpicks dancing on the coffee table, i swore it was real, but thinking back maybe it was a dream.

errr... (Pup 100 hesitates over the keyboard) I sort of still see these things that i call "Quardaks".... I think they are some sort of really fast moving bat - i mean these things can travel at about the speed of a swift & are about the size & have the sort of presence of a really large dragonfly. I only ever catch a really fleeting gilmpse of them, always on sunny days & they seem to fly real low, around 2-3 feet of the ground. I think that i have only seen them in the summer & thought it was some childhood thing - like the topic of this thread, when i did see one again about 2 years ago.

i have convinced myself that because of their speed & possible nocturnal nature they are a type of bat that has never been classified!

(Looks nervously over shoulder for men in white coats to appear with giant butterfly net!)

when i was 10, there was a big thunder & lightning storm in the summer. My sisters, a few cousins and i were in the living room looking out the windows when a huge fireball came flying down the driveway and across teh street. Scared teh living hell out of us.

i have too many things i've seen as a kid. Many of them were when i'd have a fever and start hallucinating. Everything from giant tire wheels trying to kill me, ants on my skin, being on fire, searching for imaginary golden toothpicks, peoples heads shrinking and growing...etc. you know, the normal stuff.

i used to see some kind of pink transparent barely noticeable blur around the sillhouettes of people (and I'm being serious). It was only noticeable when people were against a white or dark green background.

as a kid, I would close my eyes and start pushing my eyes in the socket to slow down the blood circulation ... weird things I could see, first, a checkered color shape more like a chess board, and later when I let go and open my eyes first a hazy blackness fades away from the vision and then I can see green-magenta star type structures in the air, and I used to go "wooow"......

When I was around 8 I was riding a honda 50cc at my cousins ranch. I stopped outside the house and saw a perfectly white spider on my knee. I was wearing shorts and it started crawling up my thigh. I brushed vigorously with both hands to try and get it off but my hands passed right through it. It crawled up my shorts and disappeared. I jumped around for a minute smacking where I thought it had gone but there was no trace. That's something that always stuck with me.

I once had a feverish dream where me and my brother were at a museum. We were looking at a t-rex display when suddenly we noticed that there was a plug and the t-rex was unplugged. So we plugged it in and then the t-rex came to life and started chasing us. As we were running, my brother jumped through a door way that I passed by. The t-rex kept chasing me. Then the t-rex and me ran over the wall like in Lion King when Nala was chasing Pumba. Then I jumped onto the credits (like at the end of a movie) that were going up instead of down. I don't remember what the credits said but it finished there. Typical of credits. They almost always seem to be at the end of things.

Edit: I'm jealous of people who have a lot of vivid dreams. I wish that I would get more. Especially lucid dreams. A lot of people that I've asked have had at least one. Instead I sleep walk (or something like it). I remember sleepwalking this one time (after the fact). In the middle of the night I remember being partially awake but still thinking that a dream I was having was the reality. So then I ripped off my sheet and quilt and threw it at a bad guy. Then I promptly fell asleep. A bit later I woke up because I was cold. I've tossed off my blanket before but always right next to my bed or crumpled up in one corner or at my foot. So I looked around but couldn't find it. So I ended up turning on the light to find it. I didn't remember throwing my blankets while I was doing this though.

as a kid, I saw ghosts. found out later in life, we had ghosts that lived in one part of the house. they tossed a ball back to me once.

as a kid, I used to see darkness move in the shadows... sorta like shadows were alive. the older I got, I realized that I'd see the form of people out of the corners of my eyes.

there are a ton of odd things I saw as a child - I can remember seeing a man that was good friends with my father and his hands glowed blue right before he'd enter the house. I saw it on more than one occasion, asked him about it and my great-grandmother thought I was "gifted".

I saw a bike once go down the street by itself... and a house that would seem like it was looking at you - had those Amityville horror type of windows.

Sorry to ruin your memory about that but it is possible to do that. You just take the bike, hold it by the grip on the handle bar and the bike seat and then start running. Then when you can't run any faster you give it a shove. The bike will go for a bit before falling over once it loses momentum. This may have been what you saw but if it didn't fall over...

oh yeah, forgotten about this one earlier, i used to live in a small town/village when I was like 4-6 years old (Shivpuri, if you think Iam kidding). We used to live in this house where once I was on the bed lying in a manner that I could see under the bed. There was a small snake moving here and there and I screamed on top of my voice, my mom came there to see me when that snake bit my mom on the leg. We had to rush her to the hospital. Luckily the snake was not poisonous, but man, that was one scary night.
