Front View Car Game Like NFS

Hello,
How do I create a game like NFS where u have the view of the car driver and as u move forward, the background goes backwards (i'm using photorealistic graphics). I can't seem to find a proper tutorials on that. Instead, I've found alot of top view driving games. Anyone can help?

Have you ever made a game before?

Have you ever used flash before?

This information will help us to steer you in the right direction.

Yes I did. But I'm just a beginner. The 1st game I did had scrolling background and the characters movements were left, right and action. I'm currently working on a project about Petrol Saving. So I need to make a car game which has a front view with the background that moves backwards while you move forward. I've found a similar style (the zoomquilt) to what I want but can't seem to relate it to my game technically. And I can't seem to find any proper tutorials to help me out either.

mip mapping,- way to cache lower resolution images of the texture and use it at different distances. WHen the original images gets to blurry switch it with a new one that offers a better detail for that zoom state.

Though if I were you iŽd check out some simple FOV (field of View) examples that scale sprite, graphics or cars depending on their distance towards the camera. Search either here on the board, flashkit.com or google to find information regarding those

Of course it's "fake", but the feeling is great ^_^ might be an idea (and huge filesize too)

Thanks everyone for d links and direction.

Mip mapping is cool but I guess it's too complicated for me.

So far, I've found these really really cool stuff.
