Okay, you know how when you import movie clips, and when you click "Play in Stand Alone Player", it asks you where the movie clips are. I have a movie where I have imported a few movie clips. Now when I play the movie in stand alone player, it does not ask me to specify the directory. It show the movie clips hen the movie runs, but fails to pass the variables from one mc to another or to the parent. When I do another movie and drag a few movie clips to test, then it asks me to specify the directory and is able to pass the variables --- So is there a way to force this behavior? I do not want to re-do my whole movie.
Thanks

Never mind -- I found the problem. It had nothing to do with what I wrote.
But how come sometimes it asks and sometimes it does not ask to specify the directory?

If you open from a specific directory or save to a specific directory and all swfs are in that directory then it does not ask or should not ask. If you create a new movie that has not been saved and you reference a swf then it will ask. My partner says that this behavior needs some fine-tuning.
