Import .fla files?
Is there a way to import or open .fla files into Koolmoves?
-
Sorry, I found my answer...NO

Degenerate and baise art thou.
Export the FLA as a SWF from Macromedia product.
Then, import that into KoolMoves...
Otherwise, NO...

Some dude, says hi
I really wish we could though, there are so many tutorials I can't complete if I can't get the FLA.

Flash files belong "under copyrite" to Macromedia, as do the flash and the shockwave marks. The easiest way to go about downloading .FLA into KM is to buy the program and make the :FLA into a .SWF which you can then import to KM. Apart from that you could get " Flashtools " and decompile the .FLA and then load it as components to a "Fun" file. But as has already been explained .FLA is a registered format of Macromedia which you can do what you like with if you have the programs to deal with .FLA files.... But I'm certain that the writers of KM cannot do anything about using FLA files legally without making KM as expensive as MX 2004.
PS,,, The stuff which you wish to copy is all in the same language,, look at the files and then convert them to your own needs. Most of this stuff is AS and it works for both one or the other,, If it wasn't AS then you wouldn't be asking your original question. And yes,, I asked for it myself a while back,, and I got the same answer as I'm giving you.

It is not just the legal issue. It is the fact that .fla format is not public. Reverse engineering a compressed file with no idea of the structure is an awesome undertaking.

Insert SWF Flash Movie
Importing the Flash movie as an object means that the Flash movie is loaded into a movie clip when the movie plays. The advantage of this approach is that the Flash movie is not touched in any way. The disadvantage is that elements of the movie cannot be edited.
Importing the Flash movie as an object may not work if the imported swf uses _root in its action script. Because the imported swf is loaded into a movie clip container, _root will point to a different level than originally intended.
Importing the Flash movie as an editable movie brings into the current context the individual shapes, text, and other objects of the movie. The import is far from perfect. Things will undoubtedly be missing. Image transparency will be missing (to be added in a later version). Action script is imported but may lack a few of the commands, e.g. "for-in". Flash 4 action script may not import correctly at this time. Wav sound is not currently imported. This names a few of the problems. The major problem is in the area of shape depths. In exporting to swf, Flash often merges shapes into the same depth so on importing it is very difficult to know which shape in frame A is associated with which shape in frame B.
