Is there a koolmoves FAQ?

Hi

There was just today a thread which has been asked several times on the forum (no blame on the questioners who need an answer)

It struck me that an FAQ would be cool but I don't know if we have one already?

Hi Steve,

Appendix F of the User Manual addresses the most common generic questions regarding the KoolMoves application, its interfaces, and performance issues. Questions and answers regarding components or other aspects of animating with KoolMoves are incorporated into the appropriate chapter. The user manual is available at www.koolmoves.com/support.html.

The KoolMoves user manual is not a manual on ActionScript, PHP, CGI, HTML et.al. If an issue is a generic web type issue then it probably shouldn't be incorporated in the manual, unless it is a common or recurring question, in which case it should be incorporated into Appendix C.

If you believe the contents or results of a thread should be incorporated in the user manual, send me a private message and include the thread number or name and date, and I'll research it.

OK thanks I will

I am very impressed with the KM manual and the API examples. I finally learned a while back that most of my questions were answered there (I'm not normally the manual reading type ) but I do keep a copy under my pillow now (well on the desktop).

We do seem to get a lot of questions around again and again though - I did it myself - maybe its just life. Could we start by adding "Always read section F of the manual for the most common problems and questions" in the "read before posting" thread so folks get pointed the right way?

This was not inspired by impatience with people asking repeat questions BTW - the people on the forum have been incredibly patient with me since I started - its just thoughts on how to get people running that bit easier.

Cheers

Steve

The best bet is to ALWAYS search the forum first before asking a question. Especially if you are new to the forum. (this is mentioned in the two sticky posts)
