4th annual Arena tournament

This is the official 2008 March Madness discussion thread.
This is bracketed tournament in which each round players will be paired together and given the same stock image. Each person will then use this stock image somewhere in making an image of their own. Once submitted, Flashkit members will vote using a poll on a winner for each pairing who will advance to the next round. With each round the number of competitors is cut in half until there is just one person left who will be crowned winner!

The idea for this comes from the American NCAA basketball championship tournament where the top 64 college teams compete in the same style bracketed tournament to determine the champion for that year. It is "march madness" because there is tons of games on TV the whole month, and many of them come down to the last seconds (or second, or tenth of a second!) and there are always underdogs that beat the higher seeded teams.

I just wanted to make any thread about it to sorta stick around. I'm sure the mods will be all up in here checking out who says what... but honestly, let's just consider this "a" thread for the upcoming March Madness.

Thanks for reminding me, there was a story but I won't bore you with it.

I'll just stick with regular battles until I establish myself. I was hoping for a collab along the lines of the roll canvas but my memoy isn't too good and I didn't think to search the forum (I blame the cider for that).

How long do we get to drop after the stock image has been revealed?
(If I get past round one) How long is the delay between rounds?

I understand the concept of the contest, but don't remember reading about the time frames for submisisons.
