I don't understand this. It's a game? It's more like a music video.

I'm not sure why (could be this computer) but for some reason the game basically locks down everything and I have to close down the window. I push right and it teleports into a wall and stays there. There must be a script running somewhere that is really slowing things down. It could be that complicated animation banner you have at the top of your page im not sure. I'll see if it works at home, but this computer here is probably more of the type of PC most casual users have...

I had the same problem : wouldn't play in FF or IE : it would instantly teleport me against the left or right wall - end the end song would be playing right away - I'm sure it's not a computer speed issue ( I have a Quad Core / Vista / GeForce 8800 GTX ) but there might be something to test with Flash Player version

I downloaded the game, and it worked fine : it's really fun, I agree with Blink ; you are bound to turn this into a real game now
It reminded me the Portal ending, in the tongue in cheek fashion...

Cheers, you have achieved something that is very likely going to be extremely viral!

ROFL! Awesome song.

Funniest game I've played in a while. It's a shame that the concept revolves around such a short game, because I actually would've really liked to keep playing a bigger game. It's well polished too.

Good job.

Viza.

Love it.

Gotta ask, was the end inspired by Valve's Portal at all? =p

This happens to me too, no idea what could cause it. FF 2 and IE 7 both do that

Thanks for all the awesome feedback!

Frag: My friend Henrik who made the music
was indeed inspired by Still Alive. He actually
sent a beta of the game to Jonathan Coulton, which
responded 'Nice work! That game is even shorter than portal '
You can download the song from Henrik's site btw.

I'm very concerned about the 'speed issues' :s I've seen it once
and it's very strange as it makes the game actually run at an
incredible speed, collision detection and AI seems to work as expected, but
much faster. There's nothing weird in there, it's just an Event.ENTER_FRAME handler

BlinkOk: The scrolling is jerky? Hmph. Maybe it's because of my header-thingy, it's quite intense. But it stops after a few seconds. The bitmapscroller should be very fast, it just bitmapData.scrolls the pixels and fills in (copyPixels) the new areas.

loved this!

cute and perfectly formed

it's got what's missing from practically every other flash game out there - personality!

runs at a fine pace on a slow pc

I think the teleport/lock up/end music playing early thing is a flash player issue - it happened to me too until I updated the player in firefox
