[CS3] Flash wont let me export swf!! Please help!
(i'm sorry but im not sure which board would be best to post this on...)
So I've been working on a flash web site for a long time now and something really strange just happened... just today as i tried to run a 'publish preview' of my site in HTML; an IE window opened but the flash content (the swf) didn't load into it.
I checked further, and it turns out Flash only created the HTML file but didn't create an SWF file.
So i tried to run a 'publish preview' in 'flash' (swf) instead and all i get is a blank white window - again the swf doesn't load up.
I try to go through the debugger - nothing either.
I try to simply EXPORT the movie to an SWF through file/export - it loads up for a few seconds but it never creates the swf file either. I also asked it for a file size report with the export and what i got is a report blank inside. No other files.
I opened a completely new file and just did a few random drawings in it to see if it would work, and that works fine.
Why would my animation not work then? It worked fine yesterday! I barelly changed anything in it since last time i worked on it (when it worked fine) - in fact all i did was replace a couple of buttons with different looking ones. I tried to undo all the changes I made to get my animation to the same state it was back when it worked but nothing helps...
I've been working with flash CS3, but I actually just downloaded the trial version of CS4 just to see if it would solve my problem - it did not. Whether it's cs3 or cs4, it simply doesn't export my swf...
I don't know what else can cause this... is it possible that my flash file is somehow simply too big? that doesn't sound right at all, but i just can't figure out what else could be the problem...
i will love you forever if you can put some sense into this for me... i've been working on this for over a month and i'll cry if it doesn't start to work again...
thanks in advance...
matt
