preloading multiple images

Hello,

we are making an app that uses a lot of images. Is it possible to preload all the images at the start of the app ? So the user doesn't have to wait in beteen switching the images.

Hi there,

It would be to complex to answer your question right here without knowing exactly more details!
Please view some of my stuff which is quiet pointed towards Image display and Show Case Apps.
You would have to spend a little time to find all these different Image galleries BUT the important aspect of it is that when you dial into these galleries that you watch how long it takes on your computer! to show these galleries, as well as that every computer is different and not to forget the most important issue is the (YOUR) AREA Broadband Speed.
If you are happy with what you are seeing than I mite be able to give a lot more advise, advise which needed me a long time to get together through trial and error as I was also very sick and tyred of the display speed Flash - FLEX is struggling with.

I eventually solved it after two days. The trick was using three loaders and a php script. One for loading the file names through a php script, one for loading the bulk and one for loading an individual file internally.
