Hi,

I've been working on this game in my spare time for the last couple of months. It started off as a means by which to experiment with hooking up a MySQL database to Flash 4 using PHP3.

I'd love to see what people think of it, and whether they have any ideas on how to improve it (design and technical)

Go to: http://www.sheepgame.co.uk

Hope you like it!

Very nice.

Like the fresh cartoon style

Few problems with the game but I guess you know about them as they seemed obvious ones.

Maybe adding a dog to the mouse pointer via Drag Movie would be good.

Look forward to playing more of it soon ....

The amount of people who want a dog

I thought about putting one on, maybe when you use the mouse button the dog could bark and the sheep could run a bit faster.... we'll see.

What problems did you find?

Hi, Great game!

Only problem I saw was the little off-color square around the sheep. It looks like the sheep symbols are square and the area that is not part of the actual sheep has been alpha'd down to 0. If this is the case you could delete the area around the sheep instead of alphaing it down and it would fix it.

Either way it is not that big of a deal

Hope it helps

Yes, those little squares... I'd forgotten about them!

They are part of the (very lazy) collision detection.

When I was developing the game I used those squares to change how sensitive the sheep were to the mouse...

I will get rid of them ASAP...

Cheers

Some people have expressed an interest in the jumping sheep on the initial screen.

You might also like to see the original "coming soon" page...

Be warned, its a bit rough

Sheep game

i know that this sounds crazy but believe me it will help you and your sheep game.

first of all allow me to introduce myself. im kim of the philippines and my profesion here is a programmer.

as i was searching on the web for the sheep game. i have found your site and it was great

i am currently working on a same project as what your sheep game is. and now i would like to ask a small favor of you if it is possible. i would like to improve your SHEEP GAME but with a little help from you. Since i dont know how to draw. i would like to ask for your permission to use some of your graphics. and some of the concepts of the sheep game you have. by doing that , i would like to ask a simple favor of you. that is to ask for a copy of your *.fla files ....

i am currently working on a 640x480 stage dimension with a character of sheeps and a dog and with a dimension of 40x30 pixels.the current version i have now is that it has a certain AI on it and it works smoothly.

to prove it all . i can send you the current verstion of mySheep game that i have been making for my spare time

i hope you will see this in a possitive way. and hoping that we can communicate sooner or later

here is my email add :
partypoooperz@gmail.com

thanks and more power to you
