[MX04] Play sound in the timeline?

ive looked through every menu system i can to try and figure out how to get the sound to play in the time line, frame by frame. im trying to do some lip syncing stuff and having to play a full 3 min clip over and over to see if i got the lip syncing correct is getting pretty annoying. is there a way i can get it to play frame by frame so all i have to do is play that small piece or do i really have to play the full clip over and over?
if ever there was someone dragging along behind a pickup truck it'd probably be me

select the first frame on the timeline where your song starts. on the properties bar set the 'Sync' dropdown menu to 'Stream'. You can now scrub the timeline and can visibly see the shape of the wave. This will also keep your audio synced with the timeline.

    Good luck!
