    KoolMoves 7 Beta Testers

I can use more beta testers for KoolMoves 7. You don't even need to be a current owner of the product. If you are, include your key code in the email. You will get a free version when it is released. When I get an adequate number of testers, this offer expires.

    Hi Bob,

I would like to beta for KoolMoves 7. I have a project in mind for the library to test most of the advanced features (and basic) to make a menu. Even if there are errors during the beta test, I can always roll the project out later. KoolMoves is really nice BTW!

Registration information removed - I removed it in order to make sure your copy of KoolMoves remains yours. You might want to PM Bob with that information if it's necessary - gerbick (supermod)

Hubert, I hope that you don't mind me editing your post before you posted it; however you had your serial/unique identifier information in your post and that's the kind of stuff you would want to keep very secret.

Bob can correct me if I'm wrong. Take care

Hey Bob... if you run short, I'll have time to beta test too... been curious as to your product for years, just been too busy to never ask

This is about the fifth of this type of thing i have tried, by simply pasting in AS3 code, and compiling as flash9. Absolutly no issues at all, with no amendments to the code.

The "click & drag" doesn't work properly.
You should replace all the spBoard.addEventListener with stage.addEventListener.
    Example: http://necromanthus.com/KoolMoves/AS3/Terra3D.html

    cheers

^ I'll play about with that, thanks, what I was illustrating was that for a first timer with As3 I was able to import (copy and paste) straight from Flash Cs4 pro with no modifications at all.

The next step is to open FLA files and ... that's the end of Adobe Flash.

Keep up the great work there!

Glad to see you posting again, Chris.

Looks like KM is more powerful than I ever knew. I have a lot of learning to do.

Got it in one, and I'm not just being loyal, I really believe that with the inclusion of as3 KM seriously opens a massive window of opportunity.

    The new components chooser arrives!

So I get the email for the new beta this morning and as usual I start scoping out the GUI to see what Bob has added and was happily surprised to see the new components are now added to the component chooser allowing us to add them from the GUI instead of only by script. I can't speak for anyone else but I personally smiled from ear to ear when I saw the component chooser open in the newly arrived beta build.

The Icons from left to right are as follows:

    MediaPlayer
    SlideShow
    ContentPane
    ListBox
    ComboBox
    PushButton
    CheckBox
    Slider
    ColorPicker
    DateChooser
    Knob
    Rich Text Editor (Holy Cow!)
    SpectrumAnalyzer

That is one extremely impressive list of components and rivals any available in other high priced Flash authoring platforms but at a fraction of the cost. WOW!

Yes Chris, The RTE is there thanks to your enthusiasm about RTE's.

Here's a small demo using the PixelScreen class.
    http://www.waterlijn.info/km/as3/PixelScreen.html
It's not very spectacular. Basicly it's a very small class to use a mono spaced bitmap font as they were often used in old computers.

Is there an example of how to use the spectrum anlyzer , the one chris just showed?
Any programming language is at its best before it is implemented and used.
