masked growing flourishes
Hello,
I am following a tutorial at the following link about masking a flourish using the brush tool to simulate growing. I have very limited flash experience but managed to get it working ok.
http://www.webdesign.org/flash-swish...ons.19213.html
The problem I have (well not a problem but a question I guess) is that some of the artwork I want to use is colored, for example gradient flourishes with colored floral elements. So, can I use some form of masking method that will allow the original colors of the artwork to show through rather than just using the fill of the masking brush?
Hope that makes sense!:-)
Thanks for any advise.

Reverse the masking layers - just unmask the masking layer (the one you turned into a Mask layer), move it beneath the other one (the one that was below it), so that their order is reversed, and then just apply Mask to the top layer, and voila!
I am back, guys ... and finally 18 :P

Hello and thanks for the reply.
I tried your technique but perhaps I am doing something wrong because when I preview it I don't see any artwork, just the brush strokes I applied to the mask?
Thanks again
