Does anyone know where I can obtain the best free screensaver utility for the MAC or PC platform?

All this program has to do is convert flash projectors/swf files to screensavers.

Any feedback could help!

Thanks,

KB

This post may do better in the Standalone Apps Forum.

But, to answer your question, yes and no.
FlashWiz is a program that uses SWF files for screensavers, the problem is (and may not be a big deal to you), is that this program "brands" the screensavers in a small degree when you export it. Many developers don't think it's a big deal, and to get rid of it, you will need to register the product for $50. However, you can still use it.

You can download FlashWiz at http://www.flashwiz.co.uk

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. This may sound like a stupid question, but by "brands" do you mean that it displays some kind of ad for FlashWiz or what?

Please let me know.

No question is a stupid question KB! I'm sorry if I didn't make things clear enough. The blame is on me :D :D

Taken directly from the Flashwiz site:
"The updated version costs just $49 and will replace the settings box animation (currently a FlashWiz advert) with the screen saver animation also the small "built with FlashWiz" image that pops up when the screen saver first starts will be removed."

But, one thing I did not know... (so we BOTH just learned something), that there are two versions of Flashwiz out there. A freeware (prev ver.) and the updated one (with the "built with FlashWiz advert"). It's up to you what you want to use.

I haven't used ScreenWeaver yet, but I'll definately be looking into it! Thanks Jelve!
