Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : HELP - PC problems with .swf files

08-01-2000, 10:22 PM

I'm new to Shockwave - I've reciently downloaded a trial version of Shockwave 4 - My first attempt can be viewed @

Flash movie page (http://www.geocities.com/brb40/FLASH01.htm)

Running 450 Mhz / Win 98 - 128 RAM

I am however having problems when viewing .swf files from the web. With some (but not all) sites with .swf displays, the graphics and text kind of "smears" on the screen when I scroll.

Sometimes I loose scroll capibility with scroll buttons on the screen (this is happening with these forums).

I can usually REFRESH or minimize and then maximize to clear the effect untill I choose to scroll again.

As a general statement my display just gets very "wierd" when some .swf displays are accessed.

This appears to be an Internet Explorer (IE 4.1) issue - seems to be no problems with Netscape.

Has anyone seen this problem before ? What needs to be done to correct it ?

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks
