Hope someone can help with this one...
I've created a .swf at work on a pc.
Iv'e uploaded it and it works fine on various pc's.
I get home, test on my mac and just get a mess of text, like IE is trying to display the .swf as text...

any ideas?

did you upload the HTML file that flash made too? maybe, i dunno this as a fact, the swf file doesnt need to be embedded for a pc but does for a mac. when you publish the file, it should make a HTML file, and if it doesnt, go to file>pulish settings and choose HTML, if it isnt already. hope this helps. if you need more help, go ahead and e-mail me. my address is in the footer.

Hi,
as red5230 said, it is better to embed SWFs into html.

But IE5 and Netscape can also display not embedded SWFs. If you browser tries to display it as text you maybe have a wrong MIME Type setting.
Check the following settings in your IE options dialog.
(similar in Netscape)

German only, sorry:

You need Flashtyper a freeware utility(see in Flaskit menu at top in banner) that adds correct info for MAC swf's

(Or of course you might be trying to read a v5 with v4 player)
