Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : How do I connect a file to an application on a CD-ROM?

I am using Flash 4 at a Mac, but don't know much about it.
This may be easy for someone who does.
I am building a CD-ROM in Flash, and in a certain page or scene, I would like to link a text box to a specific application included in a folder on the CD-ROM. That way, when someone clicks on the text made by the text box, the application will open.
Someone suggested I should convert the Text box to a Symbol, and then attribute some action to that Symbol.

Anyone has any idea how to do that?

I urgently need some help, because I need to have this ready by Friday morning.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
