What 3D Program should I get, I have Blender, and it is ok, but I want to be able to import the files into Flash in a format other than jpeg. Is ther a plugin for Blender, that will let me import into Flash as a different file type, and if not, what other 3D program would you reccommend?

If you are not on a budget, it seems to be that 3D Studio MAX r3 is the best way to go; especially with discreet about to announce their new upgrade to magma*, the discreet/ktx combo o' death for 3D - sure to have some of the newly announced 3D Flash stuffs.

If REALLY not on a budget, Maya, but it is a hard, hard program to learn, but once you do, nothing you can not do.

But, if on budget, I really do not know... Rhino3D (not free, about $785 USD) if not Strata 3D (free from 3D.com, but does not seem to export 3DS files though.

And for the 3D to Flash, surely use Swift3D. I have to be behind some guys from Boulder, CO (Univ. of Colorado alumni right here!!)... their product works well.

here, try some of these links to shareware/freeware programs, a couple I have tried out before:

http://www.comp.lancs.ac.uk/computing/users/andy/ac3dlinux.html
http://www.geometique.com/
http://www.k-3d.com/

hope that helps a bit... there are more products that are out there (one of my favorite modellers is FREE - sPatch v.1.5.1 (man, I am SO glad I saved it a long time ago) which is hard to find now, but it is freeware and does not support 3DS, but it does send out DXF's)

btw... those aformentioned programs would be to get your feet wet into 3D... not 3D for Flash. I still suggest using Swift3D - hey, only $139 USD, not bad at all... wash more cars perhaps ;)
