I cant seem to import any sound into flash 4 and had same trouble with flash 3. I have tried to import both wav and aiff ( i am using a mac). I continue to get an error message saying "one or more files could not be read". I can only use sounds that came with flash 4.
Any ideas would be appreciated

thanks

That has happened to me on a IBM PC

Don't know why i did that.

It only happened with some .wav's from one site on the web.

Ill get back with you if i find out why it did that.

that was awhile back so i don't remember.

Hey,

You might try allocating more memory to Flash (go to the program icon (not the alias) and then in the file menu click on get info then memory and give it as much RAM as you can part with. First, however, if you haven't already, you should get the latest upgrade for Flash 4 (4a).

WAV's won't work. AIFF should (unless it's corrupted).

If you have huge audio files and not much RAM, make sure Flash is the only application open on your computer.

If this stuff doesn't work, write again, and maybe we can come up with something else...

Good luck,
Josh
