Im going to be developing an application (most likely using flash MX 2004 pro) that uses a scan card of some sort that will store information. What will happen is a person will answer a series of questions and theyre answers will be sent to a database on a server. What I would like to know is if there are any card scanners of any sort that will interface with flash and can hold information so that when a person inserts theyre card into a reader it will pull up all of theyre information ie, how they scored on the questions etc. Essentially, the card will probably only have to have a number stored on it so that it can then refer to the database and pull that persons info. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'd say look at using Director instead, Flash basically has absolutely no hardware interface capability.
Director excels at this sort of thing.

Another option would be to create the main application in VB, C++ or Delphi and use the Flash part as your interface. Or you might try one of the tools over in the Standalones area.
