We're having an issue in Director when working with Flash movies. We're compositing transparent Flash movies with other graphics and text in Director & creating new bitmaps using Lingo. We don't have the option of displaying the members on the stage, so we can't do a screen shot.

Normally, we can just use Lingo's copyPixels() command to grab the poster frame of the Flash movie & composite it with everything else. This command preserves the transparency of the Flash, so that what we see in the resulting bitmap matches what we see if we display everything on the stage.

We've discovered a problem, however, when the Flash movies use dynamic text. The act of inserting dynamic text seems to cause the Flash movie to lose its transparency when we grab its poster frame. This means that what we get in the composited bitmap doesn't match what we see on screen, because the Flash background appears in the bitmap, even though it's transparent when displayed on screen.

Does anyone know what the issue is or how to work around it? Thanks.
