Does anyone have any experience with the army or know where I can get more information?

A google around came to no avail, i've read acticles in photo magazines about army photographers but information on the net is pretty scarce...

Thanks ;)

Robb.

Cool idea Robb.
I don't have any experience with the topic but maybe if we all do a little research this could turn into a very interesting thread of links.

I will contribute links I found interesting...
Soviet War Photography (http://schicklerart.com/exh/sovietwar/)
Civil War Photography (http://www.civilwarphotography.com/gibson/fieldwork.html)
PBS: American Photography: Photography and War (http://www.pbs.org/ktca/americanphotography/features/war.html)
War Photography since 1946 (http://photography.about.com/library/weekly/aa112299a.htm)

Damn... I found alot just googling "War Photography (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&q=war+photography&btnG=Search)".

I hope to see more contributions to this interesting topic.

Google really is becoming more of an art unto itself... sometimes just finding the right phrase can help immensely

You actually will have better luck doing a search for "War Photographers".
James Nachtwey is an excellent one.... but beware, his images can be very graphic.

Yes, he is the one. I was not aware he had this website. Thanks Younghistorian.

He is an excellent photographer, and as you can see, very emotional and graphic in nature.

Amazing photographer -- he really captures the emotion of the subjects.

I am sure I heard of the name and his pics before -- did he donate some pics to War Child?
