Thought I'd share some of the 367 photos I took on my trip this Thanksgiving.

It took 11.5 hours to get there and 12 hours to get home.....door to door, even driving as fast as I do. I actually slowed down some to take this photo.

Nords, got one better? ;) he he he

Logan is a town surrounded completely by mountains.....kinda in a bowl.

Panoramic of Logan, UT. (http://newwebtechnologies.com/utah/logan_ut_pano1.jpg)

Please disregard the construction in the foreground. I was on a mound of dirt that was about 80 feet tall.

While we were there we bought my stepdaughter Ashley a Christmas tree.

...and I took lots of pics of it.

that image was untouched.....I need to remove the reflection of my camera and tripod.

On the way home I wanted to get some good landscape shots. ALL of these photos were taken without looking through the view finder, except for the airplane one.....I pulled off the road for that one. Another note, I was traveling approximately 90 miles per hour while shooting these.

Mountains just outside of Logan.

We saw some really amazing cloud formations on the trip back. This one looks like ocean waves trying to eat us alive.

...and look how barren Beverly Hills has become.....

Beverly Hills, NV.

We drove right under the flight path at Salt Lake City's airport, and I just had to stop and grab this photo.

We ran into some nasty wether on the drive home, but California was so nice and sunny in the distance. Looks like there really is no place like home.

I have a ton of others, but these were some of the better ones. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Just stunning.
I love how you've captured those clouds.
I love the mountains.
I hate you.
You suck and you're wrong.

2nd mountain shot is just superbe with the blurred foreground and cloud topped mountains.

How heavily have you upped the contrast in the skys for these shots?

All except the plane shot nothing more than +10. For the plane shot I cropped it and actually had to ad layers for the clouds to stand out as much as they do. I normally don't do a lot to any of my photos. Just slight tweaks here and there, maybe a 15% unsharpen mask. And every once in a while I'll have to bump the brightness for a dark shot, but that's really about all I do.

I do have my Canon set a little hotter than normal though. Contrast, sharpness, saturation and Color Tone are at +1, but nothing major. If something screams out at me then I'll play here and there though.

I did use a gaus blur on the foreground of that one though..... :shhh:

I can barely change my radio station while driving and you take AMAZING photos? It's just not fair.

I just noticed the white line above the horizon on the pics and wondered if that was from post-processing. On some of them the sky/foreground separation could do with a little more blending I think. On the foreground blur mountain ones the sky seems a lot more contrasty than the mountain peaks.

Great shots E, totally desaturate the plane shot as there's some funky colour going on in the clouds (or maybe it's my monitor :))

I think its the compression.

Fantastic shots E, especially considering you were driving during some of them :yikes: ! The shot of the airplane is uber cool. Thanks for sharing.

Hi! I was looking for some pictures of Cache Valley (Logan, Ut) and ran across your page here. However there are red X's where your pictures should be. How can I access your pictures? Thanks

i believe mr EVP is at the shop today. Im sure he took those photos off his hosting since they are over 2 years old now. Once he comes back online he may make them available to you. but i dont believe they were meant for any type of stock photo use.
