Pearl Harbour? Eww..
Tho I cant say I'm arguing with Ben Affleck in a uniform. :D
Anyway..
Most looking forward to Along Came A Spider As I am a huge fan of the book series.
Pleease let it be good! :)
Respect to Morgan Freeman (Fer example, se7en), but I think he's been miscast as Alex Cross.
Should be good tho! :)
Not looking forward to Mummy 2, or Sheirk (or whatever) or Night at Mccools, or.. lots really.
Oooh! Looking forward to Evolution (Have you seen the poster? Most cool) and AI. I dont know about the actual movies, but am looking forward to finding out more.
:) Long post! I can talk about films forever.. Media student! :)
Speaking of "summer blockbusters", I just finished my NY project today. Hurrah! :)
hey, laura WTF you've been?
Mummy 2 looks okay... i enjoyed the first one enough ;) ;p
Along came a spider is already out in the states, not in the UK?
What is that about anyways?
Where? You do know they delay the release in countries other than the US, right? :p
S'like.. thriller/crime/serial killer/mind bender type thingy.
Also in the series Kiss The Girls (which bombed.. ubt its not as good as Along came.. and it wasnt well done).
I highly recommend the books.. James Patterson.
I wish he would hurry up and write the last in the series.. its got this terrific twist in the second to last book, and I'm dying to finish it. :p
Pearl Harbor:

Look at this shot... Michael Bay is an awesome director.
I saw Along came a spider a couple weeks back. I really
enjoyed it. Monica Potter stole the show, shes great.
Definitely up and coming on my favorite actresses list.
I'd have to disagree on Morgan Freeman being miscast as
alex cross though. Him being in movies like Se7en (awesome)
give him credibility for a role like this. He does seem to
fit alot more in Along Came a Spider than in Kiss the Girls
though.
Mummy 2 is also on my list to see (first show next friday!)
I can't argue that it will be intelligent or thought
provoking but it looks like it will be alot of fun.
The "Honey, whatcha doin?" line in the new trailer was
great!

Umm. Sure, its a "nice" shot compasitionally, but war films are really my thing. Its not what I class as entertainment... I get too upset. ^_~Quote:

No, no.. Morgan Freeman rules, lots. But if we're staying true to the books - as I prefer to do - he is miscast. But I totally understand why he is. Great actor. :)
Aye, does it still have Sampson in it? Heehee.. its funny, cause "John Sampson" is engima's name.. I thought it was a bad joke from him at first. :D

Final Fantasy The Movie and Tomb Raider The Movie(mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Angelina Jolie.........mmmmmmmmmmmmm :))
Yes there is going to be a Matrix Too. Its already in production. The special effects team came to my college last year and we viewed the movie and they gave a lecture. They had to get back to start production.
Pearl Harbor looks Great.
Im looking foward to What Tom Hanks And Spielberg (spell check) have put together on HBO "Band of Brothers" i think.
Thats not going to be released to Movies its an HBO original but it is going to be the film to look for. It will be out in Sept, however thats not summer I dont guess.
I havent seen many movie trailors , I guess Ill have to watch E's comming attractions more to catch up.
Im personally looking foward to Blade 2 when ever that happens.
D
I wanna see the mexican, Pearl Harbor and the other war one, enemy at the gate i think its called.. Can anyone recomend what i should go and see this week. Ive heard Bridget Jones Diary is pretty good. I can pretty much watch any movie but i prefer action/adventure and stuff like matrix, Fight Club, Sixth Sense..stuff like that.
Im looking forward to Planet of The Apes too as i love th old films, i wasnt a huge fan of the series but the old films have so much following, the film will rake it in.
I really should watch films more than i do, thats my new years resolution, i knew id think of one before May..:D
um...i am looking forward to "the fast and the furious" and "rush hour 2" and maybe shrek, the trailer was funny.

other than that i really can't think of any good movies that are on their way... we were so spoilt with films like 'requiem for a dream', 'memento' and 'the wonder boys' a few months ago and there's been nothing since!!
from what i've seen the summer doesn't offer too much hope.
it used to be that hollywood was good at making popcorn pictures, now it seems that character, plot and dialogue are the last things that matter, i mean a film like pearl habour is going to be huge, but what everyone gets excited about is seeing the effects and explosions.
i think the matrix was the last good 'popcorn' film i saw.
plot dialogue characters that's what's missing...
When does Spiderman come out? Sam Raimi's directing, which means 2 cameos:
1- The Dodge Delta 88
2- Bruce Campbell baby!!!
I saw a few Previews for Shrek, that looks really good too.
yeah looking forward to those matrix sequels
and its filmed in australia !!!
(yes lame... but it means a LOT to the ppl of australia - we havent had so much activity around since when russel crowe won that award for something or other...)
bwhhahhaaha
swordfish and mummy 2
i read aintitcool.com sometimes and they've been reporting on matrix 2 filming in san francisco, they built a whole freeway at an old airport and had car chases through the city.Quote:

i think they're filming some of it in australia but most of the outside stuff seems to be in san fran...
maybe all the studio and fx stuff is in australia?
Matrix 2! don't get me started. I don't even remember how
many times I saw the first one in the theater. I stay
fairly updated on the news on the sequel. They're actually
doing TWO sequels. They're filming them back to back
for a Winter 2002 release. The buzz is they're planning on
releasing the movies almost direclt after each other.
Which is an awesome idea.
Spiderman's current release date is May 3, 2002.
Blade2: Bloodhunt is scheduled for February 2002.
Also someone mentioned Enemy at the Gates. If you get the
chance go see it! Definitely worth it, especially if you're
interested in sniper movies.
