Ok, need staff for the game...Starvision!

I'm making a new game called StarVision. I have posted some stuff already about it. I'll make this real clear and simple. I need to select some people to work with on this game. The # below show you what you would have to do. If you want to help please reply telling me the # of the thing that you want to do. Also leave all the info you have on how to contact online. Here are the avaible places:

1.) I need a graphics designer. Someone who is good at creating good looking objects in flash.

2.) I need another graphics designer.

3.) I need a programmer. I can do a lot of it but we need another 1 too.

4.) Support person. You will get the other stuff we need.

If someone is already taken the job you want please reply anyway. You may get the spot. Remember there are 2 places for graphics designer. Plz help. Thank you everyone!

Try not to get too excited with yourself over all this.
By the looks of your flash footer there, I can only imagine how awfull this (what is it, starvision?) will turn out to be.

That footer represents nothing. that ball is just a test for the movement. I see you dising a lot a peoples work. But wait where is your stuff. You probably don't even have flash. Why don't you show some stuff and prove that you can put people down. Untill then your disses mean nothing... Can't wait to see your work hehe.

i would like to offer some help with action script, but im not too sure how much time i can offer at the moment (busy at work) but if you let me know what i can help with, or post here ill try to offer some advice/help/code/ideas. you know what i mean.

Assignments:

BillyJay: If you could please create a space ship. Plz make it llllook very nice and futuristic. If you need more of a guide to make it plz ask. I want you to make it in your style.

magnetos: If you could please create a background for the game. We want it to be set in space with occasional planets floating by in the background. If you want to add some space junk that would be great.

Veljko: I would like you to make the Title screen for now. Like have Starvision at the top of the page. Then with the buttons of: Play, instructions, storyline, and credits. Put a little animation inot the page too.

ooh, i just realised, what sort of game is this, im sure ive read your other post, possibly even contributed, but what sort of thing is going down here.


could you explain a little please, i dont even know what its gona be. you say you want billyjay to make a space ship, but what is this for, a side scroller, what? the reason i ask is that his designs should reflect the type of game we are talking about. if it is to be side scrolling the the detail level should be lower to ensure smooth running and so on. these details can have a dramatic effect on game speed. but im sure im telling you things you already knew. The other reason i ask is so i can suggest som tips to imporve speed.

I should explain this game. Sence my other designer I had quit it changed a little. But here is what the game is...

This game is going to be a mix of action and strategy. There is a main character(the ship). The movemnt of this ship will be by click on it and then click on an area on the screen. To shoot you will press space. This will be an overhead view of everything. You have to shoot enemie space ships. When your ship gets in the middle of the screen it will scroll(the background.) There will be warp holes to warp into other areas. You must collect certain objects to gain access to places. In this game you will be able to go backwards and shot while you are moving. Hmmm... If you have any other questions about the game plz ask. I hope I cleared things up a little. Thxs for asking.

i dont want to sound like a pain in the ass, but i would question the use of the click and click again to move code. The reason i question this is that our site (the company i work for) http://www.dubit.co.uk used this style of movement in the intial testing stages. however it proved less popular than the current method of click and move. check the site out, although im biased, it is very good. (but a liitle slow due to a server change)

let me know what you think to this idea, i just feel it would enhance the game play
