Don't know what you mean I run movies at 60 fps and 120 fps all the time. Maybe I misunderstood your question.
60 and 120 fps????? What kind of computer you have??? R you the NASA???
I think that the frame rate over 50 fps isn't make any difference... But well if you notice...you have a quick eye!!!
You can set Flash to run at any frame rate you desire, but when you export to SWF and play it with the Flash 5 player, the fastest it will play is 18 FPS (all other Frames will be dropped).
if that is the case then why can you change the frame rates to higher than 18?I can definately notice the difference between 18fps and 24.
I just made a flash movie with a circle moving cross the screen. exported one with movie set to 18 fps, and one with movie set to 60 fps, and one with movie set to 120 fps. Created viewed them, then made projectors of each. Huge speed difference. I think maybe your machine and/or video card can't handle the framerate.

I assumed the same... until I went to the devlab and downloaded their example flash files.

They run everything at 60 fps. Gives it that super smooth sharp motion. It's not right for every project mind you.
Trust me it makes a huge diff. especially on fast machines.

Highest framerate for flash8 is 180 I believe...
Dunno for lower versions though...
18 seems kinda low for maximum.
